VIPS 2011 Light Maintenance Courses - "BYOV" (Bring Your Own VideoRay)
VideoRay would like to introduce a new feature at VIPS 2011 for attendees interested in having an expert give their VideoRay ROV system a "once over". These "Light Maintenance" sessions will be comparable to bringing your car in to the automotive shop for a diagnosis and tune-up. All models of VideoRay will be accepted AND YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED VIPS 2011 ATTENDEE TO PARTICIPATE.
This IS NOT an Advanced Maintenance Course and the VideoRay personnel will not be able to perform or demonstrate any in-depth repairs on your system or tether - it is simply an opportunity to identify any issues or items that may become an issue in the future. This is a refresher course on basic vehicle maintenance such as cartridge seal, prop, and dome maintenance and replacement, for example. Click here for information on the VideoRay Advanced Maintenance Courses.
If you can bring your VideoRay to VIPS, you can use it during this seminar on how to keep your system healthy. If not, we have VideoRay loaners you can use to go through the steps of pre-dive, post-dive checklists and the simplest and most important basic maintenance procedures.
These courses will be held each day during the morning presentations. We will hold 5 sessions thoughout the week so you can find one that doesn’t conflict with your must-see presentations. Consult the VIPS 2011 Daily Agenda Pages to view presentation topics and times.
If you are interested in attending one of the Light Maintenance Courses at VIPS, please select the day and time you wish and fill out the short form below. There will be a strict limit of six (6) attendees per course and they will be filled on a first come basis.

Instructor Bio:
Brett joined VideoRay over seven years ago, and has been involved in the assembly and troubleshooting of VideoRay since the Pro 2 era. In addition to working on over a thousand VideoRays, he has been involved in several field operations. He is proud of the fact that he is the only member of the VideoRay staff to have located a drowning victim – below the ice in the rapid currents of the Mississippi river (Click Here For Story).
Brett’s experience and ability to find the root cause of difficult-to-diagnose problems – particularly with older units – is unique among VideoRay employees. Currently, Brett is in charge of production technique improvement and overall quality control at VideoRay.
